We are delighted to share some highlights from the Baited Remote Underwater Video (BRUV) footage taken around Fair Isle during this year’s inshore fish survey.
This year two types of BRUV lander were used to assess species presence during the survey. This includes a benthic lander which sits on the seabed and gives a dorsal view of habitats and species. Also, a drifting BRUV design of lander which can be used to assess species presence in the mid-water column. This year’s footage features a diversity of marine species including lots of flapper skate!
