The Scottish Government has recently published a report to the Scottish Parliament which details the progress being made on implementing Scotland’s Marine Protected Area (MPA) network.
See section 4 “The MPA network in Scotland” which details Fair Isle as a case study for Scotland’s first and currently only Demonstration and Research MPA in Scotland and shows how D&R MPAs can provide a role for community leadership in the marine environment.
